Pipe Line Installations

PIPELINE INSTALLATIONS

Over the years we have tested and engineered multiple product lines solely to meet the needs of pipeline crews for safety and accuracy. Different pipeline jobs typically need different equipment.

For crews using medium-sized machines (30,000 to 60,000 lbs), we recommend our custom Pro4-1012 (10’ tall x 12’ long) trench shields. These custom trench shields are designed with more pipe clearance than our standard shields (85” vs. 70” of vertical clearance) while providing enough room to install the pipe. These shields are usually paired with a set of 10’ or 12’ wide spreaders.

For those not wanting to be concerned with wide load permits, we offer a custom Pro4-812 (8’ tall x 12’ long) trench shield. These custom trench shields are designed with more pipe clearance than our standard shields (64” vs. 55” of vertical clearance) while providing enough room to install the pipe. These shields are usually paired with a set of 10’ or 12’ wide spreaders.

A Pal3-812 (8’ tall x 12’ long) trench shield, fitted with our exclusive Pipeline Arch. The Pipeline Arch allows for 72” of vertical pipe clearance when paired with any 8’ tall Pal3 trench shield. Pair that with any number of the arch extensions to provide the width you need.

For those looking for a system that is even lighter, Pro-Tec Equipment offers our ATS or MOD system, paired with an Aluminum High Clearance Arch. The Aluminum High Clearance Arch allows for 72” of vertical pipe clearance when paired with any 8’ tall ATS or MOD System. Pair that with any number of the arch extensions to provide the width you require.

Every project is unique, with different depths and other extenuating circumstances, such as: soil conditions, water levels, existing utilities and other parameters. Please contact your local Pro-Tec Trench Shoring and Shielding provider with as many details as possible to ensure you are matched with the best trench shield or shoring equipment to fit your project’s particular needs.
