Working near a hospital, museum, historical monument or next to a building? Congratulations, you are working in a vibration sensitive area! Not to worry, Pro-Tec Equipment has been there and done that. Through our experience, we have figured out what works best and what doesn’t work. What doesn’t work is ignoring the vibration sensitivity requirements. As for what does work best, this is what we have found.
Equipment Needs
Projects 22’ or deeper
For projects that are at a depth of 22’ or deeper, you would require a Triple Slide Rail System, using a 100,000+ lbs. machine.
Projects from 13’ to 22’
Projects from 13’ to 22’ would be able to use a Double Slide Rail System, using a 72,000+ lbs. machine.
Projects less than 13’ deep
Shallow projects less that 13’ deep would be able to use our Single Slide Rail system.
Every project is unique, with different depths and other extenuating circumstances, such as: soil conditions, water levels, existing utilities and other parameters. Please contact your local Pro-Tec Trench Shoring and Shielding provider with as many details as possible to ensure you are matched with the best trench shield or shoring equipment to fit your project's particular needs.
