Footing
FOOTINGS
Whatever type of below-ground project you have, Pro-Tec Equipment has the right equipment solution. Like you, we are concerned with keeping workers safe. It’s our passion and our specialty, including for projects involving footings, abutments, etc.
EQUIPMENT NEEDS
Projects 22’ or Deeper
For projects that are at a depth of 22’ or deeper, you would require a Triple Slide Rail System, using a 100,000+ lbs. machine.
For any of our Slide Rail Systems, when doing a cast-in-place project, Pro-Tec Equipment knows that time is critical and the cost of excessive unneeded backfill is something every contractor can do without. To combat this, Pro-Tec Equipment is able to offer contractors a true clearspan system.
Projects from 13’ to 22’
Projects from 13’ to 22’ would be able to use a Double Slide Rail System, using a 72,000+ lbs. machine.
For any of our Slide Rail Systems, when doing a cast-in-place project, Pro-Tec Equipment is aware that time is critical and the cost of excessive unneeded backfill is something every contractor can do without. To combat this, Pro-Tec Equipment is able to offer contractors a true clearspan system.
Projects, less that 13’
Shallow projects less than 13’ deep would be able to use our Single Slide Rail system.
For any of our Slide Rail Systems, when doing a cast-in-place project, Pro-Tec Equipment is aware that time is critical and the cost of excessive unneeded backfill is something every contractor can do without. To combat this, Pro-Tec Equipment if able to offer contractors a true clearspan system.
For Extremely Poor Soil
For extremely poor soil conditions or those projects that are rather large (40’+ L x 40’+ W), the Pro-Brace Hydraulic Frame system could be the answer for your footing project needs. The Pro-Brace is a cost-saving system compared to traditional weld and cut systems. With the ability to use a variety of sheet pile, the Pro-Brace Hydraulic Frame System is a product that can be used on a wide range of projects.
No matter what depth your cast-in-place project is, a good rule of thumb is to have 3’ on either side of the project to allow for working room.
Every project is unique, with different depths and other extenuating circumstances, such as: soil conditions, water levels, existing utilities and other parameters. Please contact your local Pro-Tec Trench Shoring and Shielding provider with as many details as possible to ensure you are matched with the best trench shield or shoring equipment to fit your project’s particular needs.
